Summersville Baptist Church is committed to handling the Scriptures accurately through the exegetical teaching of God's Word.We Believe:

• In the teachings of the Bible and trust in it as our single source of authority for beliefs and practices.

 

• There is but one living and true God who is infinite, eternal and unchangeable in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, truth, and love existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

 

• Mankind was created in the image and likeness of God; by Adam's sin all men inherited a sinful nature, became alienated from God and are unable, in and of themselves, to change their lost condition.

• Salvation is a gift of God brought to the world by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

• The church is the body of Christ fulfilling the mission of Christ on earth. It is made up of baptized believers set about in the body as Christ wills for the edification of the body in love. Christ is the supreme head of the church.
